So it has been a few weeks since my last blog, I had hoped to be a little more regular with them. However, I have a great excuse and I can’t wait to share what I have been up to. Kind of Top Secret, but I can give you a little sneak peek if you promise to keep it a secret. So as I mentioned in my last blog posting, I am changing somethings up with PixL-Photography. This year I will be focusing on my new mantra, “exist in pictures”. Getting women to make sure they have a beautiful portrait taken that will be cherished for generations. This new service, Contemporary Glamour, will be focused on providing the full experience: hair, make-up, and styling. I am beyond excited on this new direction. I still will do family portraits, but I am adding this whole new service and I think it will be very popular.
To prepare for this change I have had to shift gears and source local businesses to support the new service. In that, I’ve been fortunate to meet amazing local female business women willing to work with me that are absolutely phenomenal. I found a great hair artist who works at a local salon and is at the top of her game. Then I was lucky to meet two incredible make-up artists from Billerica, keeping it local has been my goal. Additionally, I was also able to join forces with a Chloe + Isabel accessory merchant who have offered up her amazing catalog of jewelry for our shoots. The pieces are classically on trend, look expensive, and are just the thing to make an outfit pop. Great thing about this, if you like the jewelry you can purchase it.
I will be taking new bookings starting in March in time for mother's day gift ideas, so make sure you follow me on social media and keep a look out in your email box for the announcement; I will be planning a little promotion for the first three sessions. More details will follow.
While I continue to get all the pieces together and make some changes, I want you to see example of this new service. This past weekend I got my glam squad together and we did our very first “Contemporary Glamour” session!! Our beautiful model, Vanessa, was fantastic. She is a new mommy to a 4 month old baby boy. I took her maternity session this past summer, so it was an honor to follow up with her. She is so sweet and was just wonderful. See the before and the after. Stunning!!
